Dry Eye Syndrome

These are common and widespread symptoms that affect many people. Dry Eye Syndrome, in particular, is growing and may be due to prolonged computer use which can lead to a decreased blinking rate (this causes your eyes to dry out faster). There can be many environmental and genetic causes for dry eyes.

Once our doctors determine the causative factors, they will set up a treatment regimen that is appropriate for your particular needs. Learn more about the causes here:

In mild cases, at-home management and maintenance will keep your eyes healthy. In moderate to severe cases, in-office procedures or medications may help to resolve your symptoms and improve outcomes in the long run. These may include insertion of punctal plugs or procedures such as TearCare.
